Oakland Schools led the development of the MAISA ELA Common Core-aligned units of study that were piloted and reviewed by teachers statewide. This multi-year project resulted in a comprehensive K-12 curriculum that is aligned not only to the standards, but also across grades. These units are not scripts but are guidelines for teachers; we encourage educators to adapt them for their population and context. These units are now linked in DEC for grades K-5 under ELA Resources in MP 3. Check out all the resources available for your grade level. These are Open Educational Resources (OER), meaning that you can use and adapt the materials free of charge. Enjoy!
